This right here explains why I can't get behind Starfire's portrayal in Red Hood and the Outlaws.

Yes Starfire has always been a sex object, I don't think anyone who has read comics with Starfire in it can deny this fact. However, Lobdell has taken one aspect of who Starfire is and made it her entire being. She just doesn't have any personality in the new series, and that is the problem that most people are having with Starfire. Its the writing/artwork that's the real problem, not Starfire's sexuality. If that makes any sense at all.
